Welcome to the new Oxford Baroque website. Rapidly gaining attention as a one of the most promising early music ensembles in the UK, Oxford Baroque is made up of a mixture of young and more experienced professional singers and instrumentalists. Originally formed by a group of students with a passion for English, German, French and Italian music from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries who met whilst studying at the University of Oxford, they have already begun to be praised for their own characteristic sound, which is constituted by the importance they place on an intimate collaborative relationship between singers and players.
